Six new episodes of ‘It’s a Fair Cop’ have been ordered – to air in the summer of next year – following the success of the three-part comedy series last month.
Each episode uses a scenario based on a real-life police case, with the studio audience asked to decide how they would have acted if they were a police officer in the circumstances.
Radio 4 commissioning editor Caroline Raphael said: ‘Alfie Moore’s It’s A Fair Cop has been much appreciated by the Radio 4 audience and provided a very different insight into the world of law enforcement. I am delighted he is going to return with further case studies for us to enjoy.’
Moore – who is currently performing his sell-out Edinburgh Fringe show ‘The Naked Stun’ at Assembly George Square – added: ‘I’m absolutely thrilled to be given the opportunity to work again with BBC Radio 4 and the talented producer Alison Vernon-Smith.’
Alfie says he’s “absolutely delighted” on hearing the news that ‘The Naked Stun’ tickets continue to sell well, with 5 shows sold out so far – and extra shows have now been added. A stunning start to the run! The extra shows so far: TUESDAY 12th AUGUST at 5.20 pm & MONDAY 18th AUGUST at 1.25pm. Visit the TICKETS area for more information about the show and to BOOK TICKETS
The Festival officially opens tomorrow but the Naked Stun has already had it’s first sell-out on a preview day. When the sell-out was confirmed Alfie said “I’m absolutely chuffed, and I really appreciate the support from everyone who’s bought tickets. It’s a fabulous performance space (even air-conditioned – a rare and very welcome thing in Edinburgh). Alfie is playing at the Assembly George Square (studio 4) at 4pm every afternoon until 25th August. BOOK YOUR TICKETS before the shows all sell out………….
Alfie was delighted when, following some lovely feedback from listeners about the series, the 3rd episode of his BBC Radio 4 comedy show was chosen to be comedy podcast of the week.

As the Edinburgh Fringe 2014 swings into action Alfie is included in the Daily Mail’s pick of the best jokes with his thought-provoking offering: “Violence is never the answer…………. but what if the clue is an eight-letter word meaning to cause intentional physical harm?”
The first show of Alfie’s first BBC Radio 4 Comedy series It’s a Fair Cop airs in July in the coveted 6.30pm ‘drive time’ slot. Whilst the tone is humorous, the subjects tackled – including how to deal with a suspected drink-driver – represent the real dilemmas faced by police officers. What would you do if faced with a tricky policing decision? Find out what the studio audience would do and also the full tricky, and often hilarious, story from Alfie. Be sure to tune in on 9th, 16th and 23rd July and play along in your own car or kitchen!
Alfie is delighted to have been invited to be a guest on BBC Radio 4 ‘Loose Ends’ with the brilliant Clive Anderson and ‘fearless’ Arthur Smith. The eclectic mix of conversation, music and comedy bodes well for an hilarious show. The show will be first broadcast at 6.15pm on 5th July and if you missed it (or LOVED it so much you want to hear it again) it’s repeated on Monday 7th July on BBC Radio 4 Extra at 9.15pm and 11.15pm and (for the insomniacs and night-shift workers) 4.15am on Tuesday 8th.
As part of the warm up for Edinburgh this year Alfie is pleased to be previewing ‘THE NAKED STUN’ at the Leicester Square Theatre on Tuesday 22nd July 2014 at 7pm. Come along and enjoy the show and say hello (hello, hello) to Alfie. BOOK TICKETS HERE
